Frequently asked questions

Do 2022 facelift T-Roc mounts differ from earlier?

No. The 2022 second facelift updated the infotainment and interior trim but did not change the vent layout or centre-stack proportions.

Are T-Roc vent slats horizontal or vertical?

Horizontal on the centre vents. Vent clips must be horizontal-slat-compatible.

Does the T-Roc have factory wireless charging?

Yes on Style, R-Line, Black Edition and R; not on Life or Match.

Do T-Roc and T-Roc Cabriolet phone mounts interchange?

Front dashboards are largely shared. The Cabriolet loses some rear-cabin trim but the driver’s phone mount zones are the same.

One thing many buyers miss

The T-Roc kept physical climate buttons - unlike the Mk8 Golf which moved to capacitive sliders. That means the T-Roc’s lower centre stack is a straightforward adhesive-mount zone without any capacitive-misfire risk. The upcoming Mk2 T-Roc (late 2025) will move to capacitive controls; current-Mk1 owners should exploit the physical-button generation while they can.

How to check before ordering

  • Confirm your car is first-generation (2017-onwards) - Mk2 arrives late 2025 with different interior.
  • Vent clips must be horizontal-slat-compatible.
  • Style trim and above have factory Qi charging.
