The sixth-generation Polo (AW, 2017-onwards) got a Mk6.5 facelift in 2021 and continues for MY2025 with VW confirming no direct successor. All UK Polos are on the same MQB A0 platform, and cabin mats fit the whole 2017-onwards range.

The boot floor is height-adjustable on most UK trims - lower it for a taller subwoofer or dog crate, raise it flush with the loading sill for wheel-well-free organisers. That is a boot-accessory feature and does not touch the passenger cabin footwells. Front and rear mats fit all trims from Life to GTI.

GTI seats have integrated headrests, so seat-back organisers with headrest straps still fit but the tartan-panelled bolsters trap Velcro-backed liners. That is a seatback organiser point, not a floor mat one - floor mat fit is identical across trims.

Frequently asked questions

Do Mk5 Polo mats fit the current car?

No. The Mk6 uses a different footwell and retention pattern from the outgoing Mk5. Confirm the listing says “2017-onwards Polo” or “Mk6”.

Are Polo and up! mats interchangeable?

No. The up! is on a different, smaller platform with a much shorter front footwell.
